In 2022, we present Johan Museeuw in Yorkshire. Based at the luxurious Angel Hetton in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, the weekend gives you the chance to ride with a true legend of the sport whilst swapping stories over Michelin star hospitality and food.
During the World Championships in Harrogate in 2019, we hosted Johan for a selection of ride outs with clients and local riders. He was so taken with the area, we agreed to get him back to Yorkshire as soon as possible. For three days in June, Johan will be leading the ride outs in intimate groups. In the evenings, we can enjoy Michelin starred dining and 5* plus accommodation from Michael Wignall and his team based at The Angel Hetton.
During his time as a Professional rider, Johan took home some of the biggest prizes on offer and became known as 'The Lion of Flanders'

Friday 10th June 2022
Mid-morning meet & greet at The Angel Hetton. We meet & greet, get you checked in, bikes set up and look to head out just after lunch. Groups will be arranged on all three days to make sure everyone gets a challenging ride with some Yorkshire 'bergs' and some time spinning with the Lion of Flanders. In the evening, we enjoy a 3 Course meal prepared under the eye of Michael Wignall and his team.

Breakfast at The Angel Hetton followed by a steady ride out to take in some of the best routes in the area as well as at least one Yorkshire pitstop. This evening you are treated to an 8 course taster meal followed by a Q&A with Johan so please bring some questions with you !
Sunday 12th June 2022
Breakfast at The Angel Hetton before we take 2-3hr ride with a nice coffee/tea & cake stop before returning to The Angel and saying your goodbyes. Hopefully the weekend has given you memories to cherish and some new riding friends.

For our Johan Museeuw in Yorkshire trip, we have you based at The Angel Hetton.
In October 2019, just 12 months after taking over, Michael Wignall and his team were awarded a Michelin star in the Michelin UK & Ireland Guide 2020. The Michelin star comes hot on the heels of the AA Hospitality Awards and saw the Angel receive four coveted rosettes for Michael’s cooking. The AA awards four rosettes to restaurants that “exhibit intense ambition, a passion for excellence, superb technical skills, and remarkable consistency” – something that Michael and the team, both front and back of house, strive for every day.
In August 2021, The Angel was placed Number 2 in the National Restaurant Awards Top 100 Restaurants, as well as Gastropub of the year.
