Liege Bastogne Liege
Known as 'La Doyenne' ('The Old Lady') Liège Bastogne Liège is one of the 5 Monuments. It is recognised as one of the key Belgian one day races, enjoying a heritage of over 120 years.
The Liege Bastogne Liege Sportive is the day before the pros, following the same course. The route itself is a challenging one, with the full course consisting of 279km. (There are 167km and 85km options too)
Take on 11 categorised climbs. The iconic Côte de La Redoute (2.1 km climb at an average gradient of 8.4%). The Côte de Saint-Nicolas is the last categorized climb of the race, with the top being 6 km from the race finish in Ans.

Belgians own the one-day race culture and this event is very much a totem of their passion for such events. The vibe throughout the weekend is high energy and festival-like.
Food, music, sponsor brand presence are all prominent on race day.
Flights to Liege airport are regular and journey time to the city centre is approximately 20 minutes.
Weather can be unpredictable in this region at this time of year. With such a far reaching route, prepare for several different climates. Rain is likely and temperatures are cold, with summer still round the corner.
This event sets the bar and despite its length, there are riders of all abilities taking part, so you'll find your pace regardless of your riding level.
